Well done Chicago Tribune for your input in this account. It seems to me that the only thing "United" about united airlines is they are United in 1) Passing the buck.
2)Not open to "any" criticism
3) complete disregard for customers who have paid to use their ailine.
I am not a negative person but I wouldn't shed a tear if they went belly up. There is far to much of this "Wish I could help you" syndrome. I think United must have overlooked among other things that it is a competitive business. The president or CEO should be symbolically "Tarred & Feathered"

As Frank Sinatra once sang "Come Fly with me" I dont think so thank you.

Again well done Chicago Tribune in stepping up to the plate. Regards Phil Cose
Brisbane, Australia.

I was wondering if United's CEO left his mother behind, would he offer her Cab fare and continued on to his club? What is the cost of respect, cab fare?

How true!!! United doesn't care a flip about their customer service.

I flew with them and Air New Zealand to Wellington, NZ this past summer and am now being denied the frequent flyer miles.

United says that Air New Zealand has to award the miles because I was on "their" airline, even though all my tickets said "UNITED" on them. Air New Zealand says that United has to award the miles because I'll be getting United mileage points, not ANZ mileage points.

Everyone I've spoken with at United has been rude and downright combative on the phone. They simply don't care about doing the right thing. I wish I had thought of a video like this; I just might try something.

Thank you, Dave, for having the constitution and fortitude to bring United to their knees.

I had a bad experience with Sears. Will make this as brief as possible in point form :)

1.) Ordered an item from their catalog on my MasterCard
2.) Went to pick item up. Mastercard no longer existed. I had cut it up, but the card was still active
3.) They wouldnt release product without actual credit card
4.) I offered to pay with a different card OR Cash OR Debit.
5.) They refused. Would not give me the product. I returned with my credit card statement showing the purchase.
6.) They still refused to let me PURCHASE the product. Instead I went to Canadian Tire and bought (what turned out to be a better/cheaper version)
7.) Sears shipped the product back to their warehouse and lost the sale
8.) Sears lost a customer.

This is called moving "with" the energy of the Universe. When a person is inspired to do something, and follows through on that inspiration, great forces come to bear and it works out to the good for everyone involved...probably even Ms. Irlweg. I also most likely never would've heard Dave Carroll's music without the UBG viral videos, and I would've been worse off for missing it. Great stuff. Keep on getting inspired!

Dave, you managed to impower the individual in an impersonal world. You have made a big contribution and you really are a modern day Folk Hero - a multi-talented one! Thank you for sharing your talents so generously. Your
music is very special and each song is amazingly unique. I love your music.

Fantastic! I have just watched all the video's after following a link from the BBC news web site.

I am very pleased that your initial loss has been turned around so dramatically. It's very refreshing to see the "little man" win over against the huge multinational, multi million dollar organisation.

I will now keep an eye on your "rightsideofright" web site to see how things develop for you.

Good Luck & Well Done!!
